Immigrant and Worker Rights March in Sacramento.
A few members of Mother Lode Progressives joined dozens of immigrant rights activists, union workers, and leftists in a rally in honor of May Day organized by the Sacramento Labor Council for Latin American Advancement.
The event started at the California State Capitol and wound its way down to the California Democratic Convention. Several attendees joined us, and several others came out to chastize the marchers for somehow helping Republicans by insisting the Democratic Party stand for worker rights.
